POLISH EYELET or SPIDER WEB  EMBROIDERY

Snutki Challenge
I have been an embroiderer for many years and twenty years ago was very impressed by a Snutki doily at a guild exhibition.
There was little information on the subject so I began designing my own. I have exhibited most of my doilies, one in USA, the others in New Zealand. I have had several magazine articles published and have now put all my designs into kitset form.
It is a fascinating technique in that all you need is:- 100% cotton fabric, a crewel needle, a hoop that screws tightly and a stiletto or something that will work like a stiletto, i.e. a sharp ended knitting needle. The threads used are also easy to procure. The webs use crochet cotton and the eyelets use stranded cotton. You will also need a very fine, sharp pair of embroidery scissors.

Are you interested in a new challenge? You are!

Others are available by e-mailing me peta@farmside.co.nz and I will mail you a catalogue of all my designs and books. You will love this new challenge, once you have learned it you can ‘stitch and chat’ and not have to watch a pattern as in cross stitch. You need to learn this technique so that you can add a very rare piece of embroidery to your heirloom collection. It will decorate your home with grace and elegance.
Thank you for visiting me, now please send me an e-mail if you would like more information or register for a newsletter from time to time. I stitch many other techniques which have won local and national awards. I prefer traditional techniques but do from time to time dabble in the creative side of embroidery.
